What the????????

What the????????

Can somebody please help me here? What in the hell is an ipod? LOL, I keep hearing about these things called ipods that are supposed to play music. Is it like a tape player or a cd player? LOL. I am almost 40 years old( I will be 40 in 3 years ) and I have not kept up with todays music. In fact, I have never even seen an ipod in real life, except MAYBE once. I think that I saw this kid that had what looked like to be one in the grocery store. I did not get a good look up close. I think that maybe I am getting old. I certainly dont feel old. 40 is young. Its just that I stopped paying attention to todays music a long time ago. I stopped being interested in 'trendy' music, not that I really liked it in the first place. I like classic rock, preferably from the 50s 60s and 70s , like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin, Gordon Lightfoot, etc.. so I am sort of out of touch with todays 'teenyboppers' lol

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year

Yes It has been a while since I last posted here. I should post here every day. I should. Looks like my sister will not be joining with the rest of the family on Christmas Day. She has to work. Ahh well shit happens . I will miss her though. One less present that I will have to buy(for now) Yes, I have not done my Christmas shopping yet!!! But I only have 2 gifts to buy, so I will wait until the very last minute. I read somewhere that the average American spends somewhere around 9 hundred dollars. Pardon me, but thats bullshit. I would never spend that much money. Thats just me

Queen

Hey its been a long time since I posted about my furbabies. Update: The 14 year old is living a happy retirement in her luxurious condo that we have made for her. Her body is wearing down but she has a mind that is still sharp as a tack! She stays in her sweet condo at night and stays in the office during the day. If any of the younger ones come into the office, she reminds them that she is their queen and they must grovel at her feet!

Christmas Party

Ok sorry no post last night but I had to attend a fabulous Christmas Party. It was great. I had no alcohol. I have not had any in years. In fact, I am more of a tee totaler myself.

Diabetes does suck

Yes , I still take meds for my diabetes. I have type 2 diabetes, also called adult onset diabetes. I must take pills, not insulin. I take Avandia and metformin twice a day. It is no big deal to take the pills. I just hate shots. Yes, I know, I am a big baby. I hate needles. I don't really know why. As a kid, I used to hate a lot of things. Well, hate is not the proper word. The proper word is fear. I used to be afraid of clowns as a kid. I mean DEATHLY afraid. I used to be afraid of the dark. I used to be afraid of this little doll that my grandmother gave me . The doll was the character Goofy from Walt Disney. You would pull the string and he would say something GOOFY .And for some reason, that scared the Holy BeJesus outta me. Remember that movie 'Majic' with the mannequin that would speak? When the previews for that show came on, I would just take off and run away. Scared the crap outta me. My father had a little Cessna airplane that he co-owned back then. He would try to get me to ride in it with him. At first I was too scared. Then I did fly with him, I got over my fear of that. He even let me co-pilot and fly the plane ( with him in it of course) for a few minutes.

Dec 7 2005

December 7, 1941.. "A day that will live in infamy"~ FDR I have said before that I have visited Pearl and the SS ARIZONA.. a very somber expirience. It is hard to believe that there are still people buried in that ship. It is great that our country made it a national park though. I wonder if President Bush will visit the site tomorrow? I think that last year he did and he placed a wreath at the site.

Thanksgiving Day Year of our Lord 1968

I was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1968. That is right. Today , I am 37 years old. Yes, I have managed to make it this far in life with out breaking any bones or killing myself. ! Not that I have tried, lol. I never have. But sometimes I am just a wee bit accident prone. Ok not accident prone but I am clumsy. One time, I was at work all alone and silly me, I decided to get up on a ladder to fetch some thing down in a box up above my company office. This was a big mistake. yes you guessed it. I stepped up on the very highest step and the ladder , which was not correctly balanced, tipped over and crashed to the ground with me on top if it. I fell like 12 feet. I could have sworn after I hit the ground that I had broken my arm. I didn't but I still hurt like hell . For the rest of the day AND the next day. To this day, I will not climb a ladder.

Dame

I have this strange feeling that your time is near, old girl. I love you. My heart is breaking now. I have this feeling that you will cross the Bridge soon. Your body is weak, but your mind is still strong, I can tell. I found this poem, and it reminds me of you.
A good dog never dies, she always stays, she walks beside you on crisp autumn days when frost is on the fields and winter's drawing near her head is within our hand in her old way.
-- Mary Carolyn Davies I have only been to the Rainbow Bridge site a few times. Every time I have gone there, I just get tears in my eyes. I know that I have to face the reality that Dame will go sometime, she has to, but that does not make it any easier. My family is giving her a good life, she has excellent health care and a great place to live with plenty of food , water, and love. When she is gone, I will miss her so much. She is old, about fifteen(which is old for a GSD) and is very lame. She can walk, just not very well. As far as I can tell she is in no pain. I love you, Dame. rainbowbridge.com

Back

Well, I am back from Thanksgiving break. I went to Arkansas to visit my sister. All went great! She is doing fine, working working working. Had great food, too. Mexican, yum! On top of that, I turn 37 on Nov 28 which is Monday! On a much sadder note, my great uncle passed away on Thanksgiving Day. He was 96 years old. He did have health problems. He lived a great long life! He and my great aunt would have been married for 70 years this next year, I believe. 70 years is a looong time.

Here

I have my boy here with me tonight. He is a male GSD who is 8 years old and though he acts tough, he is a teddy bear! His ears have never even come all the way up LOL. He is one of my babies, he is brilliant and I love him dearly. He loves me, too and he is an excellent guard dog. Eager to please and he is a quick study too. I will post a pick of him sometime soon.

My personal webpage

Here is my personal webpage. Seems that other link that I posted her does not work. pinklooksgoodonme.html

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, it is Monday night , only about 9 pm and I am getting sleepy.. I am putting off dragging my butt to the local video store to return a movie( 'Point of Origin' a good one if you like true crime) anyway, I am getting ready to take a few days off for Thanksgiving and head down to Arkansas to visit my sis. I am glad because I could use a few days off. I worked 58 hour last week. I am tired. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Oh yes and I turn 37 a week from today. 37 candles is a LOT of candles on a birthday cake!

OK

Ok so it has been a few days since I posted. Lately I have not thought up any good rants. I have been meaning to post every day, but some days I am just a bit too tired. On a good note, I am going to visit my sister for Thanksgiving. I have not seen her in a while, plus I am glad to have a few days off.

There are just a few left!

Just about every one I know owns a computer. Just about. I didn't own one until about 6 years ago. I admit that I kind of fought buying one . Then everone and every place started talking about websites, dot coms, dot nets, and dot orgs. I just HAD to find out what the hell everyone was talking about. I bought one from Gateway 6 years ago and I have never ever regretted it, ever. I use mine every night. It is wonderful. It is a pc, NOT a laptop. I would not have it anyother way. My folks also have one, my mom uses hers on occassion and my dad never uses it. He really seems to hate computers, or rather he is probably afraid of them, lol. I used to be. I used to be that is until I finally just faced my fear and called Gateway, and had one built for me. Now I am emailing and downloading and chatting all over the place. A few months ago, I even figured out how to make holiday cards. I watch movies and play music. I even have a new website. It didn't cost me a penny to make it. Life is goood! Here is the link: http://www.geocities.com/sunflowerks40/pinklooksgoodonme.html check it out and tell me what you think!

Correcting the date .. I should post here every day..

Bill Kurtis

Bill Kurtis was great! I will tell more about it, but my arm is starting to hurt again, so I had better get some more sleep:)

Thursday, November 10, 2005

OK

I am going to see Bill Kurtis tomorrow at the local university and I am real excited! He is the guy that hosts these great true crime shows on tv. Shows like 'American Justice' and 'Cold Case Files'. He is going to talk about the death penalty . He wrote a book entitled 'What I have learned about the Death Penalty' some time ago. He used to be in favor of it, but has changed his mind, I think. Either way, it looks to be very educational and informative. I will post more about it the day after tomorrow! I will see I f I can post some links too.

Speaking of taxes

LOL Hey speaking of vehicle tags and taxes.. I pay too much for my rav 4.. but I love my Toyota Rav 4 so much that I am NOT getting rid of it, unless of course it gets totalled in an accident. I have a ten speed bike in my garage that needs some fixing up. I may fix it up and ride it next year.. second thought , I may fix it up and sell it on ebay LOL

Property and Vehicle taxes

I just got my vehicle registration info in the mail a couple of weeks ago. I paid it today. Well I dropped it in the mail today, and I shgould get the tags in the mail in a about a week or two. Damn I hate paying taxes(who doesn't?lol) and just when I get done paying those, I get-suprise- my property tax bill today! Well not really a suprise, I get the bill every year, and I pay twice a year-half in December and the other half in May. Taxes really do suck. But I guess that the state and the Feds have to collect money somehow. Plus if you don't pay the taxes you lose your property and you could go to jail. Not fun. On the brighter side, Thanksgiving is coming up, and I turn 37 in a few weeks:)

where I got the info I just posted

www.cah.com/library/uap.html

This is what she has:(

Ununited Anconeal Process
Ununited anconeal process has been reported in numerous large and giant breeds of dog, as well as some chnodrodystrophoid breeds such as Basset Hounds. The most commonly affected breed is the German Shepherd.
The joint affecting the humorous-ulnar area (elbow-illustration normal elbow) joint is formed by the articulation of the humorous and the ulna. It is responsible for stabilizing the joint and restricting extension of the elbow. The anconeal process fits into the hole of the humorous when the elbow is extended.
In certain breeds the anconeal process which is part of the ulna does not fuse. If not fused by 20 wk. of age this bone will stay ununited.(illustration ununited anconeal process)
Due to the non-union degenerative joint disease develops as a result of instability in the joint.
Clinical Signs:
Age of onset of clinical signs ranges from 4-8 months, although signs may appear in animals as young as two months and as old as five years.
Males are more commonly affected than females.
May affect both fore limbs and levels of pain and lameness may vary.
Pain is elicited on manipulation of the elbow, particularly extension.
Restricted range of movement in the elbow joint.
Swelling of the elbow
Diagnosis:
Radiographs of the elbow show evidence of the disease. Arthritis may or may not be present.
Treatment:
Options include conservative or surgical management .Young dogs may be best managed with surgery. See Tylenol
Surgical options include
-Removal of the anconeal process.
-Screwing the bones together
-Removing part of the ulna or a combination of the screwing and removal of bone.
Techniques that preserve the anconeal process may give better long-term success than removal of the process.
Nutraceuticals are also warranted i.e. glucosamines, MSM, and omega fatty acids.
Prevention:
This is very likely a genetic dysfunction. Therefore, affected animals should not be used for breeding or the parents of the affected animal.

Ok Here she is!

Here is my youngest furbaby!

Amateur Photographer

I have recently tried my hand at photography(No, I did not take the pictures of the nature scenes here-though I wish that I did). I am learning by trial and error, and so far my photos have not turned out too well. I am still also trying to learn how to add music to this ^%$# blog:)

My Libby:)

This is cute

LETTER TO A SMALL HOTEL OWNER:
A man wrote a letter to a small hotel in a midwest town he planned to visit on his vacation. He wrote: "I would very much like to bring my dog with me.He is well-groomed and very well behaved. Would you be willing to permit me to keep him in my room with me at night?"
An immediate reply came from the hotel owner who said :
"I've been operating this hotel for many years. In all that time, I've never had a dog steal towels, bed clothes or silverware or pictures off the walls. I've never had to evict a dog in the middle of the night for being drunk and disorderly. I've never had a dog run out on a hotel bill.
Yes indeed, your dog is welcome at my hotel. And if your dog will vouch for you, you're welcome to stay here, too."

"Signs"V1 And the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why He said you look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do So I took off my hat I said imagine that, huh, me working for you
woah!
Chorus:
Sign Sign everywhere a sign Blocking out the scenery breaking my mind Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign
V2 And the sign said anybody caught trespassing would be shot on sight So I jumped on the fence and yelled at the house, Hey! what gives you the right To put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in If God was here, he'd tell you to your face, man you're some kinda sinner
Repeat Chorus:
Bridge:
Now, hey you Mister! can't you read, you got to have a shirt and tie to get a seat You can't even watch, no you can't eat, you ain't suppose to be here Sign said you got to have a membership card to get inside Uh!
V3 And the sign said everybody welcome, come in, kneel down and pray But when they passed around the plate at the end of it all, I didn't have a penny to pay, so I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign I said thank you Lord for thinking about me, I'm alive and doing fine

Schattzii

I am sorry, I have no picture of Schattzii( forgive me, I cannot even remember how to spell her name. In German it means 'treasure'). But I promise that I will eventaully get around to adding photos. She had to go back to the hospital today. She has something called Elbow Dysplasia, and has both her front legs in casts. I really do feel sorry for her, but that does not help. She is a very spirited and active little girl . so making her lay down is tough

Sharon Tate

I frequent sites about Sharon Tate, a beautiful person who died before her time. Check out the site:http://sharontate.org.

Rock

I want to share my taste in music with the entire world.. still trying to figure out how to do that..lol I like mostly old time rock and roll and classical. I will listen to everything from Bach to the Beatles. But my fav is Elvis. After all , he is the only one to ever come back 25 years after death with a hit song! Seriously, I also like the Hollies, Dylan, mostly music from the 60s and 70s..

Help

I am trying to add music here but I am not too sucessful.. any suggestions would be nice!

Dates

I know that my dates are off here. I was just thinking today.. Halloween is just around the corner..

By GOD

By God, I will learn to add music to this blog! I will if it takes me the rest of the year...

One of the most beautiful songs ever

Hollies - The Air That I Breathe lyrics
If I could make a wish,I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need -No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound, nothing to eat, no books to read.Making love with youhas left me peaceful, warm, and tired. What more could I ask? There's nothing left to be desired.Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak.So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep. Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breatheand to love you.All I need is the air that I breathe, yes, to love you.All I need is the air that I breathe. Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak.So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep.

BACK

Hello, I am back! Sheesh I need to post here more often.. I do have good news too. The edema in my legs is going down, due to the medication that I am taking and I am trying to put my feet up as much as possible. Seems that people with diabetes tend to get edema. I fucking hate this disease. I hate it HATE it hate it. The same year I found out that I had diabetes, my brother found out that he had malignant melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer. He had it removed, but not before it got to his lymph nodes. He had to have one of them removed. Cancer sucks too. I hate it. I wage war on cancer and diabetes.! But, enough of that seriousness. I just hate being too serious. I take my meds and try to get out and get some exercise, go for a walk and take my baby with me. My Libby loves that because she is a rather energetic and inquisitive sort, but I keep her on a leash. She and baby Schatzii are a riot together, just like sisters are. They play and wrestle till they get all tired out. Then we come in side and I watch my programs on my dvd player. A few weeks ago, I saw one of the COOLEST shows ever about the Secret Service and how it came about, what the job of the secret service is and what it entails(its very involved). Heck, I used to watch cops shows like NYPD Blue and yes, it may seem kinda corny, but I used to watch DRAGNET. Dragnet was based on true stories.

$$$Home ownership$$$

Yesterday I took the day off work to get things done around my house.I was having trouble with a sink clog causing my water to clog up in the kitchen sink and a clog in the utility room drain where my clothes washer drains into a pipe in the floor. Reluctantly, I called a plumber and set up an appointment for yesterday. He came, I explained what was going on and he checked everything out. He cleared out my garbage disposal and ran a plumber snake down my sink drain. Then he took a plumber snake and ran it down my floor pipe, both of which maybe I could have done myself, but to be honest I am not very mechanically inclined, and I was afraid that I would somehow end up doing more damage. He got the work done, and it was a rather pleasant suprise to find out that the bill only came out to a little over one hundred dollars.

Total Gamer!!!

Well been a while since I have posted here. I try to get rid of the spam replies, but they just seem to creep back up. Hey I love this blogging! I am looking to take some computer courses online, if anyone knows of some good ones(preferably FREE ones) I would definitely be interested. I am reading up about the Sims, and I did not realize that the game is SO deeply involved! Glad that I got it, too. Oh, I heard from an old boyfriend yesterday. Dennis called me up, we tried to arrange a time for us to get to gether before he leaves for California. He wont be back for a few months. We emailed back and for and he had his webcam set up.. lol he is a hottie.. I hope that he is ok though. I hear Cali is having some vicious wildfires right about now. I have a webcam, though it isn't set up. Had to unhook it when i got my new modem. LOL. I have a new modem, scanner, speakers, mouse, and keyboard, but I still have the old gateway monitor. I will probably have to get a new one, and they are not cheap, but Gateway is a good brand. Frequent sites that I visit are: sharontate.org, courttv.org,pyrotomountain.com, darwinawards.com, and I love to play games on yahoo. I mean games like card games, word games(bookworm is my fav). Yes I am a total gamer!!!Now I have to go take my diabetes meds and play bookworm!!!!

My dogs stole my lunch or lunchcapades!

This morning when I was at work, I had my babies in my office. Three of them. Heidi, my baby, the one I picked out, the smartest dog in the world was asleep in a corner. Donner, her younger brother and Honig, his sister were asleep on the floor in ther regular spots. Well, I left my liunch sitting on my desk and got up to help a customer. I come back about 20 minutes later, and Donner has my lunch both on the floor and in his mouth..so much for the tomato tortillas that I was planning to eat for lunch. They made a mess. Really, its my own fault. Dogs will be dogs. I forgot to put my lunch in the refridgerator. Oh well. Shit happens.

I'll be your baby tonight

Tonight, she stays with me. I took her home after work, and she quietly stayed in the back of my Toyota. Waited patiently while I went into the store for a while. When we got home, we went to play in my backyard for a while, amidst the gently sloping green grass hill that is in the back of my home. It was then that she saw them. Cowering, like the three year old that she is, she ran to the back door, worry etched on her face. Then I heard them. One older, one very young. She wanted nothing to do with them, and sat closed to the back door. I saw the little one hiding underneath the bigger one. Then I realized that they were both afraid of each other. I approached, as I am blessed with the gift of not being afraid of these creatures, and spoke with a soft , reassuring voice 'hello, little one'. He then ventured out just a little. there was a fence, so no danger of him coming after to follow me. I did try to coax my girl over to say 'hello' but it was evident that she was too afraid. The bigger creature was quiet, but friendly. Not wanting to force my baby, I quietly turned around and walked towards the door where she was sitting, opened it, and in she ran with her tail between her legs. I took her in, gave her a treat, and spoke softly to her. My Honig is such a BIG BABY, but I love her.

Where I have been.

About twelve or thirteen years ago, I went with my folks to Honolulu, Hawaii to a football game( It was a Bowl game-KSU v Boston College-KSU lost:( ) An expensive and long trip(from Dallas to Anchorage via Seattle was 8 hours, but the trip was well worth it. I got a chance to see Diamond Head, Go on a submarine ride, and visit Hilo Hatties. I bought several Hawaiian shirts and walked in downtown Honolulu and bought a real pearl. I got to visit Pearl Harbor( the locals just call it Pearl) and my favourite part of the trip was going to visit the SS Arizona Memorial. It was so hard for me to believe that I was standing RIGHT there, where oh so long ago the Japanese attacked us.I was quiet. I think that some 2400 people were killed in that attack( I could be wrong on that number) and I remember looking downward and seeing the oil bubbles come up out of the water from the ship. It is hard for me to believe that there are still people buried there. There are. Thanks Vets.

My writings

I was just looking at other blogs, and this sad reality hit me. I am really not a very good writer. Any pointers that anyone could give me, any criticisms you could send my way, I would galdly appreciate. I see that some folks have upwards of 25 or 30 responses to their blogs, and I only have a few. i wnat to increase my responses.I would like to increase traffic! I did add a few photos, and a few rants here and there. I promise that I will be nice in response! I am really a nice person. I just created the blog to put my thoughts out there. Any suggsestions? Advice? Send it my way via email or the response box:)

Hotties!

Kirk Acevedo is a hottie.. Hey thats the 'look' I like.. I would * him if given any chance(and if he agreed)

My List ( none of these people are on the net)

Here is my list of people who have royally pissed me off in the past(and still are) 1) Osama Bin Ladin- or however you spell his name-for obvious reasons 2) Saddam Hussien- or however the frig you spell it- again, obvious reasons 3) Person #1, for not so obvious reasons, but if you ask them, they would probably know why. On the other hand, this person is so fucking dumb that they may not know why, and I cannot explain to them why because of certain criteria 4) Person #2, one that is smarter than person #1 but is much more cunning and devious.5) the jerk that put a dent in the back of my car, then drove off. Hey jerk, you are supposed to PULL OVER WITH ME and we are supposed to exchange info. You owe me five hundred dollars and you owe my insurance company about thirteen hundred. Pay up. 6) People who think that I.D.s are the same thing as drivers licenses, and try to convince me that they are the same. They are NOT the same, otherwise they would BOTH be called drivers licenses. 7) Richard Kuklinski. He is a FREAK. Don't get me wrong, freaks don't usually bother me( I consider myself to be somewhat of a freak) but this guy is a freak with a capital F. Just look him up at www.courttv.com. Seriously, this guy could go up against lil sadam or osama any day in a celebrity death match. This guy is the 'Ice Man'. I would not mess with him.

Monday Night

Its Monday night, well actually it is Tuesday morning. I feel the need to post here again, this time I will post two lists. One list is a list of guys who I think are hot, and I would totally * them if I was given a chance in reality(and of course, if they gave consent). Some of them you may have heard of, others maybe not. Ok, here goes(and not necessarily in this order) : Orlando Patoboy, Dennis Rogers( that is one that I have , in fact dated in the past), Kyle Secor, John Seda, Dean Winters, and Brad Pitt. There are others, but as of now I cannot think of their names , as I am trying to think of what to write next on my blog. Oh yes, the second list. I will call it my ENEMY list, or the list of people that I will forever hate. Well, ok God has said that I should not hate folks, but rather hate what they have done. Some of these ahem 'folks' are well known and deserving of my hate, and others are not so well known, yet they are still deserving of my hate. Some folks have ongoing 'issues' with me and others, and therefore, for safety reasons will remain nameless, nor will I state the issue. They will just go by the names 'Person#1, person#2, ect.

SIN

I went to church tonight and the Pastor spoke about taking God's name in vain. He said that it is a sin to take God's name in vain. There are so many sins, that just thinking about it makes my head spin. I have some questions though, such as : Is it a sin to look at nude pictures on the internet? Is it a sin to think about the pictures that I just saw on the internet last night? Is it a sin to dream about those nude pictures ? Is it a sin to want to look at those nude men again tonight? Is it a sin to dream about those pictures again tonight? Is it a sin for an unmarried woman to have lustful thoughts for an unmarried man? Because if it is, I am gonna be in SERIOUS trouble.....

Okay

I went to church tonight. Yes, I do go to church every now and then, believe it or not! On my own. Nobody pays me to go. Funny thing is, as a kid , I used to hate going. When visiting my grandparents in Arkansas (suspend the funny toothbrush/redneck jokes for a sec ok? lol) for two weeks one summer, they made me do the most horrible, boring, and worst punishment that could ever be bestowed on a child: SUNDAY SCHOOL. Yes. Thats it. I remember being bored out of my mind. But then I grew up, began to understand the stories in the Bible, and I actually LIKE going to church. I like meeting people. And all four of my grandparents are gone. I sure do miss them terribly. All in all, now that I look back on that summer, my grandparents were pretty cool. I am told that I was a pretty well behaved kid back then, and so were my sibs. Thanks to my grandparents and my parents who taught us right from wrong and how to behave well. Stay honest. Use your brains. Work hard. My parents taught me these things. So did my grandparents. My parents are still alive and well. Computers confuse them. My father hates computers and refuses to use them. My mother is a bit more advanced, but not much more. They are kind of old geezers but I love em both.

Not your usual blogger

Hello everybody. Just got home from work a little tired. Not as busy as I had expected today, but busy enough. I am glad that I can come home to a quite house in the evenings. Sometimes I wish that I had a husband, other times I don't. Sometime, someday I might get married, but maybe I won't. I don't sweat it too much, though.Yes, I do miss having a steady boyfriend and I do miss the sex, but hey sometimes that is life, huh? Ok, I will quit whining now lol. There are far more important things going on in the world like what is going on down South . I understand that Hurricane Rita is supposed to hit Texas and Louisiana hard this weekend. I will keep the folks living down there in my thoughts and in my prayers. On that subject, I think that President Bush is doing a good job, considering what has been handed to him. He has taken a lot of hits, especially recently, and I must say this: First of all, Bush is not a great speaker, but Bush is NOT stupid. Secondly, I think that some Liberals try to use Bush as some sort of scapegoat to blame for their personal problems. Thats my opinion.

The days of my t.v. gone by.

Last June 2005, I got rid of my cable and my television. Got rid of cable because I was just not watching it enough to justify spending one hundred dollars a month to have it. My television went on the blink so I got rid of BOTH of them. I have since then joined netflix. com and I have never been happier, especially since I can watch one of my fav shows, OZ(with all those nekkid mens) on dvd with the 'extra scenes' LOL. I am a huge fan of that show, n eedless to say.

I know that this may sound harsh

I know that this may seem rather harsh, but I refuse to donate to Hurricane relief. I figured that our tax dollars are already going to help those people. Our insurance rates(auto and homeowners) are probably going to go up quite a bit because of Hurricane Katrina. Why pay for anything three times over? That is the way I see it.

Posting again

Ok it has been awhile since my last post, so I figured that I better get to work. Speaking of work, tomorrow I have the day off! Dental appointment in the am then run errands afterwards then housecleaning and computer time. Funny thing is, I don't have a computer where I work. Its all pencil and paper there. When I get home, I have my own pc. By the time I get home, I am having computer/internet withdrawal symptoms! Heeheeheehee

Mississippi Girl

I am listening to Yahoo radio and there is this song that I have not heard before called 'Mississippi Girl' and I don't know who sings it, but she has a great voice whoever she is!

This is Schatzii. She is SPOILED ROTTEN. Nah, she is actually pretty well behaved. This photo was taken back in either June or July of 2005. She looks completely different now. She is a beauty! Black and very very RED. I will post current pics as soon as I get em made.
Baby Libby. She is still so young! Not the youngest in my furclan though. The baby is posted above. They are all HUGE now! Baby Schatzii weighs in at about 60 pounds!

Baby Honig

Sleepy

Well tomorrow is going to be a great day.. wait it IS tomorrow. I have the day off from work. Have not had a day off in about a month. I go to the dr then -the highlight of my day: I get special treatment at a beauty salon! Shampoo, cut, stlye, then eyebrow wax. Hell, I could almost fall asleep while in the chair! I am a wierdo. I also fall alseep in the wierdest place: The dentist's chair. I don't really know why, but it has never bothered me to go to the dentist, and I never understood why some folks are afraid to go.

Ardent protection

Well, tonight I brought a baby home. Not a human baby but a baby just the same! Her name is Honig and she is about 3 years old. She can become somewhat of a couch potato or a bit nervous when I am not around, but otherwise she is very well behaved. A bit frightened of the creatures next door even when we are both in the back yard. I do think that she would protect me if someone broke into my house if both she and I were home. I have been broken into once( while I was home sans Honig) and had a purse stolen a few years back. I did not see anyone do it, but my garage side door was broken and my purse in my car (in my garage) was gone.. anyway police came out, did a crime scene investigation.. you know the routine.. I had to get a new Driver License, and I was out X amount of cash. I cancelled my credit cards right away. I just HATE fucking thieves so damn much. There is a saying (actually I made up this saying) is that the main difference between murderers and thieves is that murderers can be reformed, but thieves remain thieves. People that steal anything for any reason are lowlifes. I have no tolerance for them and their dishonesty.

REVELATIONS while showering

When I was taking a shower after a long hard busy day at work at about 8pm..I was shampooing my hair when I had a revelation of sorts: I realized that the medium sized bottle of shampoo that I had in my hand was sold to me at my local grocery store for about one dollar and five cents. Yep, thats it. ONE DOLLAR AND FIVE CENTS. A very good price. It dawned on me that all shampoos are basically the same. The bottles that you can buy at the beauty salons that cost$$$ are essentially the same as the ones in the grocery store. Why pay fifteen or twenty bucks for something when you can go and get it at the grocery store for ONE DOLLAR AND FIVE CENTS? Doing any thing else would be insanity. Yes, I shop at the local mom and pop grocery store( NOT at Wallyworld if I can help it) and I have found the mom and pop( they will remain nameless, since if I say their name I could get into some sort of trouble. I dont' know what kind of trouble, but trouble always seems to find me) and they have a great assortment of fruits and vegetables( by the way did you know that the tomato is a fruit and a vegetable?) While pondering this, please rememeber the Ten Commandments of Grocery Shopping: 1) Thou shalt prepare thy list beforeth thy starteth up thy horseless carriage 2) Thou shalt not take thy grocery store's name in vain 3) Thou shalt respecteth thy farmer, for if thy farmer did not existeth, thou would starveth 4) Thou shalt not overloadeth thy cart! Thou will use two carts when necessary5) Thou shalt not whine and complain whilst waiting in line 6) Thou shalt not hold up the line while you go get something you forgot to pick up in the isles -while you are at the head of the line. 6) Thou shalt not bounceth thy grocery check , lest the stock boys come with bats 7) Thous shalt returneth thy cart to thy stall. If this Commandeth is broken, thou shalt spend eternity after death roasting in the fiery pits of Hell forever. 8) Keep thy attitude in checketh 9) Respect thy clerks and keep them HOLY. 10) Greeteth thy customers and employees alike with 'God bless' and glad tidings forever. Amen.
