Stay of execution

Chris has a stay of execution, due to a technicality: The new key I had made yesterday to my house does not work. Therefore, Mr Pest control cannot have access to my house tomorrow. So looks like Chris will be around for a few more days. Just a few more.I think that Chris somehow 'knows' that his days are numbered.. I have not seen his cute little ears and tail around here for the past day or so.

work work work and rain

Weell, heelllo there. Yes this past few weeks I have been rather busy, last week, I worked almost 59 hours, and this week, I will have worked about 62. The pay is great so no complaints at all. Tomorrow is Sunday and I was supposed to take the day off, but as luck would have it, I have to work. Six hours no big deal. It will help to pad my wallet even more. In spite of the rain this week, customers are coming in, and then there are proms and parties this weekend. Pretty soon summer will be here, and I am ready/ Got some new shoes tonight, and I am ready to wear them tomorrow. Well, I have to get up early tomorrow( lol for Sunday anyway) and I hope that it rains tomorrow morning. Blessings all:)

Rough

The past week has been kinda rough for me personally . I had my girl euthanized, then I had an argument with my father, and then I find out that my sister's dog was hit by a car, then My girl Heidi(another Shepherd) got sick and I took her to the vet this morning. She was having diahrrea and was barely eating, and I knew something was wrong. The vet did some bloodwork and that turned up normal. I told the techs at the animal hospital that she was having difficulty in trying to defecate, like it was painful for her, and they did take some xrays. Turns out that she did have some fecal matter around her colon, and when she went to the batheroom after that, the colon looked ok. She could not wag her tail like she usually does, and the dr said that it looked like there was some sort of bone fusion going on in her abdomen area, and he would have a specialist look at the xrays, and they could tell me more. It looked, according to the dr, that she has arthritis in her hips, so she has to take meds for that.

Chris

I am afraid to say that Chris's days are numbered. He has approximately 4 days left to live. I am afraid to say that today, after much deliberation, I had to call my exterminator. Chris is just too cute, and it really pains me to do this, but I must think of my self, my home, and my furbabies first. Chris is cute. Chris is smart. I love Chris. But I do not want any of his buddies hanging around. ::Sigh:: So this I must do. I will miss your cute little eyes, big ears, long tail and furry face. I would be satisfied if Chris would just hang around outside and not come in my house, but alas, I cannot 'explain' this to him in any way he could understand. I sure hope that nobody from PETA is reading this, or I am going to be in serious trouble...

Baby

My baby is sick. I am up late at night worried about her. I need to try to sleep. I take her to the vet tomorrow, bright and early. I will let you know what happens. Now, I slip into unconsciousness. SLEEP is a wonderful thing. Good night

Identity Theft 2

I would like to hear your stories, thoughts, concerns, etc on identity theft. Post them here or email them to me if you wish. Do not worry,I will not put you on an email list or give out your email address to anyone. Thanks

Identity Theft

I was the victim of identity theft. Someone got ahold of my social security number and tried to get their utilities hooked up using my number. The ONLY reason that I foun d out about it was because the utility company called me and asked me if I owned this property that the person who stole my id lived at. Needless to say, I was scared. I felt violated, even though nothing really happened. I made a police report and red flagged all of my credit cards and bank accounts. The person who tried to steal is now on my 'evil people' list. If there is one thing I cannot stand, it is dishonest, evil people. The person did not get anything hooked up with my number, and hopefully she , who has probably stolen from others, is in jail now.

Yahoo gamer

I am a gamer. Nothing that has to do with money(not online anyway) I have not been to a casino in over a year. Nothing violent , either. I hate violent games like Grand theft auto or that sort of thing. They do not make much sense to me. I prefer word games, and puzzles, anything on Yahoo. I even like Alchemy. I am so very addicted to Alchemy, word whomp, and Book worm! I used to play Mahjongg, but not so much any more. My gamer name is sunflowerks3, so look for that name if you are ever playing yahoo games.

Here it is

National Priorities Project - Federal Deficit, Surplus, and National Debt
ahhh crap I cannot link.. well just do a Yahoo search on Federal deficit and you will get your info right there. I will tell you right now it is rather scary.

Something to think about

For once I am writing about something other than myself. I was looking up info on America's national debt and this is what I came up with. Scary:U.S. National Debt Clocks

My apologies

I posted a link to something called 'Gizoogle' here a few days ago. It is an ebonics translator. I posted it as a joke, yet now looking back, I realize that the link may be offensive to some, so I have removed it. No more of that here!

For Hugh and Chris and Canines and Snakes

Thanks for your kind words. I will miss her forever. I am not sad anymore, I have some great memories of My Girl playing in the water, and killing shoes as a puppy. I have a few great pictures of her as a GRANDE DAME taken a few months ago. I imagine her now, being the Queen Alpha female at the Rainbow Bridge now.On that note, I have a new little friend. I have a mouse in my house! Yes.. I do try to keep the place clean. The little critter is so darned cute, I just dont have the heart to kill him. Yes, I know that mouse poop is bad, and I don't have a problem with that. I think that I will name him. I THINK it is a him. Since I do not know if the cutie pie is a male or female, I think I will name it Chris. Chris is VERY smart. Mice, in general , are very intelligent creatures. )~ p.s. I just had a strange thought: Where the mice go, the snakes also go. Not that snakes bother me. They don't. But : Snakes+my canines=trouble. Oops.::thinking thinking thinking::

Death

My girl Dommie died this morning at 9 am. Rest in peace, old girl. You definitely deserve it. Dommie Born: 1992 Died :2006 age: 14 . I am not sure of her birthdate, because she came to my family when she was about 8 weeks old. I took her to the vet today, and they were very gentle with her. I realy hate it when this happens, but I also firmly believe that this is what My family signed up for when we obtained her as a puppy. !4 years is a long time for a large breed dog to live. Her passing was very painless. I got down on the floor with her, as the doctors aide and the doctor gave her the shot to relax her msucles and stop her heart. I thank God ( and the vet) that it was quick and painless. I tried to take care of her best as I could, but when these things happen, one always thinks of ways that they could have taken care of her better.

My girl, Dommie.

I will always love you , My Girl. Physically, you are old and weak. Mentally you are strong and smart as a whip. I love you. I cannot say that enough. Tomorrow, I make that phone call. That dreaded, wish-that-I-could-put-it-off phone call to the vet. You are not in pain, I can see, and you tell me with your eyes that you are not. This is a painful decision that my family and I have come to this decision. Your tail no longer wags. Your back legs no longer work. Your hips are gone. I know that when you are gone, you will go to the Rainbow Bridge. I have been to that site, and it always brings me to tears. The other day, I found a picture of you when you were 2 months old. You were so cute. Now, even though you are gray, you are beautiful. That picture was taken 14 years ago. I will miss you. I love you very much. Rest in peace, old Girl. You have lived a wonderful, great life.

I love my life

I love my life. It is great. I go to work, then I come home and IT IS QUIET. Its a thing that some folks would kill for. A quiet home. NO noise. Just me, my pooches(who do occassinally get noisy lol) my computer, and my cable television. I love it. I can do just about anything I want to. Right now, I am gaming bigtime. I just play the free games, and I sure as hell don't gamble on the internet. My home is a little get away after work, a quiet place where no one bothers me, I don't have to answer any phone calls, talk to any customers, or talk to anyone PERIOD. I talk to people a lot during the day, so the last thing that I really want to do is talk to people when I am off work. I do go into chatrooms, not as much as I used to though.

Hot

It is getting much hotter here in Topeka. Hotter and it is only Springtime! I am actually looking forward to this Summer, making lots of money, the overtime is great. Only thing is, I sweat like a demon. Yes, it is Friday night, and no I do not have a date( No word from Dennis in a while- he is very busy these days) . Yes, I could get in my car and drive somewhere, but only have about twelve dollars in my pocket. I do not go to movies too mush, but in a few weeks 'Flight 93' is coming out and that one I definitely want to see. Might make me sad, but I still want to see it.

Night Guard

Ok change of venue today. I did not get the fillings I thought I would get. Instead the dentist has ordered a new night guard for me, which should arrive in a few days. Honig chewed up the last one. The dentist is only charging me about 40 dollars this time. Cool. No more morning headaches. But I have to go back to the dentist for those cavities. On a brighter note, I am making lots of friends on this new forum I am posting on. I am an Insider at glennbeck.com. OIt is great. Glenn Beck is a Conservative radio talk show host and his rants are too damn funny! He has lots of fans, and I get to chat with them, as well as read articles and issues specific to us INsiders.

Health Care

I have to go to the dentist tomorrow. I have to get two cavities filled that the xrays picked up on . Yes, this means novocaine, which also means shots and needles IN MY MOUTH. Strangely, the needles that the dentist uses in my mouth have never even bothered me at all. The dental hygenist just gives me this little cloth with some sort of numbing agent, then the dentist comes in with these needles that just pinch a little, then that side of my mouth just kind of goes numb while the dentist works.I even have been known to fall asleep in the dental chair.! The only place that I really feel any pain is in my pocketbook. Wait, not even much pain there. I have health insurance through Blue Cross. I have a pretty good plan, considering that I am a diabetic. My dental plan is pretty good. Which politician was talking about universal health care? Was it Bill Clinton? Al Gore? George Bush? I cannot remember. One of them was talking about health care for every child. Just a thought, but exactly WHO would pay for the health care if the parents of the children cannot or do not pay? Taxpayers? Why should strangers have to pay for other people's children's healthcare? Shouldn't these parents be responsible for their kids? I want to hear your thoughts on this.

Life is good

Life is good these days. I have found new forums to post on. But I have recognized a sad fact of life: I am just a peasant, a peon. I look at and sometimes read the messages on the yahoo boards and realize that I f I answer any of them, then my message would just get lost in the tons and tons of messages posted, and lost in the tons and tons of email that gets sent every year by the millions and millions of folks around the USA and the world. Just a number, maybe number 4577567776766777777779...

The cost of gas in Topeka, Kansas

After work, I filled up my gas tank at a local convenience store. I used a credit card and pay at the pump. Maybe that makes a difference in the price. Price per gallon: 2.65 . I remember back in the 1970's when there was a gas shortage and there were signs at the pumps that said 'sorry no gas' and inflation was sky high.

Antivirus update

I have settled on an antivirus program. One that I have had before, but it is an updated version. It is called PC-ILLIN by TrendMicro. So far, so good!

Ok, I am posting again dreams

This may sound kind of silly, but a few nights ago I had this rather crazy dream. I don't know what it means, or if it means anything at all. I was riding along in a nice, fancy car that was mine, and this guy was driving. He was driving very fast, and appeared to be in a hurry. I asked him where we were going and he kept saying that he could not tell me, that I would figure it out when we got there. It was crazy! We kept hitting and sideswiping things. I started yelling, telling him to take it easy with the car and he kept getting more and more impatient. Then I look outside of the car and I can see giant snakes coming after us, diving in and out of the dirt, just behind us! Like those giant worms in Beetlejuice. It was wierd. We keep driving, and not long after, I wake up. Funny , it seems that I have my most vivid dreams in the morning after I have woken up from the night before, and I am still drowsy, so I go back to sleep for an hour or so. I also have more vivid dreams when my house is colder. It is funny, and and the dreams seem SO WILD YET SO REAL!

Court

Well court came today and went well, without a hitch. I got there a few minutes early where I had to take a number. I hate the sit and wait game, especially at public buildings. There were about a hundred people in front of me. When my turn finally came up, I went to an attorney , told him that I was not contesting the ticket but wanted a diversion. He told me that I could do something similar to a diversion, get my moving violation which I did. I then got in line to face the judge. To my suprise, the judge was , well..... NICE. I told her the same thing I told the attorney and she said that she understood and she gave me a form to take to the cashier's office upstairs. It will not go on your record, she said and the insurance company will not find out about it. I went upstairs. More waiting. I paid with my check card, got a reciept and learned an important lesson: Not only does speed sometimes kill, sometimes speed is expensive. Court costs: One hundred forty two dollars, n ot including the time that I took off of work, and the change I put in the meter. I figure that I have probably spent about two hundred dollars to take care of this little mess. I have learned my lesson.

Nervous

Today is the day I go to court. I am a little nervous. I have never been in front of a judge, not counting the time I served on a jury. Wish me luck.

Saturday night

It is Saturday night, and I have no date. I could call up Dennis for a night of passion and sin as I have done a few times in the past, but somehow tonight is a little different. I am a little stressed about this coming tuesday, and about going in front of a judge. Yes I have been in front of a judge before when I reported for jury duty last year, but this time it is different. I am begging for mercy for the transgression of speeding. In short, I am afraid that the judge will just chew my ass out good. Watching a little bit of Judge Judy last Wednesday didn't help. Tonight, I think I am just going to stay home, watch television, and take a bubble bath.
