Take current scandals such as the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq or Enron’s financial collapse…. you’d like to think you’d act differently. But when put in certain situations, are you actually powerless to choose good over evil? With “The Human Behavior Experiments” Sundance Channel and Court TV team up again to shed new light on the persistence of such evils as racism, abuse and corruption by focusing on four fascinating behavioral experiments from the last 50 years. This unique documentary was produced and created by Oscar® nominated director Alex Gibney (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room). TV-14 D, L

I remember what the President said a few weeks ago about our country being addicted to oil. It IS kinda scary if you think about it. Nothing could run without oil. Besides cars and other automobiles, just think. Transportation. Airplanes, buses, trains, subways, heck even bicycles. Nothing in the house would work without oil. All kitchen appliances, clothes washing machines and dryers would not work.Water would not be able to get to the house. Phone lines would not work. Heck, there would be no television or computers! Everything is somehow related, directly or indirectly to OIL.

Memorial Day . I am working. Overtime. Great. I think that I am going to start reading some more Mark Twain pretty soon. I can say that I really enjoyed Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer as a kid. Those are classics. I am going to look into some of his essays. I have heard that he has some great , funny essays .I have heard that 'Letters from the Earth' is good. My sister is a great reader. She has read more Twain than I have, so I will ask her.

I am watching a show on the DiscoveryHealth channel called 'We lost 800 pounds' about two women who lost together a total of 800 pounds . They have had many surgeries, trials and tribulations, ups and downs. I have a great respect for these 2 women. I don't weigh as much as they do, but I am scared silly of going under any kind of surgery, esp major surgery like that. Gastric bypass surgery. The main thing that scares me are things like being under and IVs.I was scared silly when I had to have a tiny IV in my finger a few years ago when I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. When it comes to things like surgery, I am just a big, giant chicken!

Ok for some reason, my post that I tried to make last night did not show up. Oh well. I worked today. During the Spring, Summer, and Fall, I am luck to get anyt days off at all! I got paid early today-worked about 51 hours this week. Pretty good considering I was ill last week. We were extremely busy today, many folks were bringing back chairs and tables that they rented for their graduation parties. I have no complaints, the money is great and so are the people. Now, tomorrow night after work, I get to pay bills. Yay. This is for me presonally, not the company.Pay my bills and I always have a little left over:)

I am trying to write something, even if it is just a little bit in this blog every day. Life is good, and I am feeling much better! The antibiotics will remain in my body for probably a few more days. I still have an occassional sneeze and cough, but nothing like what I had yesterday.
Tuesday, May 16, 2006
Ill today. Took the day off of work. After taking my antibiotics, I started perusing the news webpages. One story that stood out to me is the story of the sloth bear that ate the monkey in the Netherlands. I understand that the be a rather rare thing, but still, just imagine the horror. Were there any children watching? I don't know, but if there were, well that sort of thing could scar a kid mentally.

Yes, I know it is early. Just after 5 am here. I went to bed early because I was feeling miserable yesterday. I still am. My head in all congested up and my eyes are watery plus my nose is running. I am coughing up phlegm, and my muscles ache. I will call the dr later on this morning. When I take a hot bath or shower, then I notce that the congestion seems to dissipate and I can actually breathe out of my nose! i have diabetes, so I hope that my bs is not affected too much. I hope that I am not coming down with bronchitis again.

The exterminator came today. I have seen no sign of Chris anywhere. I believe that he is gone to mouse heaven now. I hated to do it, really, because I love the little furry creatures, but I was afraid that If I let him go, he would come back in, and bring his buddies. I just can't have that. Tomorrow is Saturday, and I am working for the weekend. Even with taking Thursday off, I will still have 50 plus hours this week.

I love to work. I will all the time. But today, (it is after midnight) I am up a little later because I am taking the very rare day oof. After my podiatrist appointment, I will come home, eat breakfast and probably go back to bed! Then try and get some house work done. Sometimes it is nice to have boring days!

|Your Brain's Pattern|
Your brain is always looking for the connections in life.
You always amaze your friends by figuring out things first.
You're also good at connecting people - and often play match maker.
You see the world in fluid, flexible terms. Nothing is black or white.

I went to see the movie 'United 93' tonight, and I tell you when I got out of the theater, I was feeling pretty angry. In fact, I am pretty angry. I do reccommend the film, but only if you are prepared to see it. It is not a film for little kids, and this film will piss you off. Really
